Eleanor Roosevelt to Lyndon B. Johnson, August 28, 1957

Dear Senator Johnson:

I was glad to get your letter of the 28th and I appreciate your thought in filling me in on some details of the bill. I am happy to know that some steps can be taken, under the bill, to see that people are not deprived of the right to vote, and I will hope to see improvement.

I agree with you that the matter of foreign aid has been handled badly by the Administration.

With my good wishes and many thanks for your letter.

Very cordially yours,
Eleanor Roosevelt
